2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by IONOS. When you visit the site, the host automatically collects information in so-called server log files that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, the referrer URL, browser type and version, and the operating system used. This data cannot be attributed to specific individuals and is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and security of the website).

3. Contact form and email contact

The contact form on this site uses a mailto redirect: the data you enter (name, email address, message) is not transmitted to or stored on a server belonging to this website — instead it is prepared locally in your own email application as a new message, which you then send yourself. The same applies if you contact me directly by email at Holger@hbcheck.de: your information is used solely to handle your inquiry and is not passed on to third parties without your consent. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (processing a request) or (f) (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries).

4. Fonts

This website loads its fonts (Space Grotesk, IBM Plex Sans, IBM Plex Mono) locally — the font files are hosted on this site's own server rather than fetched from Google or any other external provider. As a result, visiting this site does not transmit any data to third parties for the purpose of font rendering.

5. Cookies and tracking

This website currently uses no cookies and no analytics or tracking tool (such as Google Analytics or similar services). Your browsing behavior is not evaluated.

6. Links to external content

This website links to reviews and articles originally published on Smartzone.de and the ANKER.blog. The operators of those external sites are solely responsible for their own content and data processing; their own privacy policies apply.

The site footer also links to my Facebook profile (Facebook-Seite von Holger Becker) and my Instagram profile (instagram.com/holgerbecker). These are plain links to external profiles operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited; clicking them opens that platform in a new tab, and no data is transmitted from hbcheck.de to Meta in the process. Data processing on Facebook or Instagram itself is governed by Meta's own privacy policy.

7. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons, and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that your browser's address bar shows "https://" rather than "http://".

8. Your rights

You have the right, at any time and free of charge, to request information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the processing (Art. 15 GDPR), as well as rights to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data. The competent authority is generally the one for the German state where I reside — for Saxony, that is the Saxon Data Protection and Transparency Officer.
